I felt confident having you around, you helped build me up to the person I am today. But i couldn’t have ever foreseen your treachery or your deception.

Deterioration of those walls you helped me to build up.
Slowly losing my own breath, resulted asphyxiation.
I never foresaw this. I don’t know what I missed. Every truth that you’d twist. I’m watching as you shape shift.

I kept my word to always keep you safe, yet you hid behind the veil and threw me to the wolves.

I won’t say you never showed your true face, but I’ll say it garnered a mask.
A mask that mimics the ideals of those false gods around you.

Ideals preached to you through a filtered lens.
I’m sure you won’t see that the lies don’t end.

But I won’t be broken by your cowardice. Your new mask only covers the grotesque truth underneath. The truth that you were never a trusted friend. Just a snake turned to sheep following the trend.
